Terms of use.

WhiskerMatch is operated by Veldarium Technology Systems LLC ("WhiskerMatch," "we," or "us"). By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use WhiskerMatch for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization.

• Public marketing, education, pricing, trust, and contact pages.
• A Discovery Questionnaire whose submissions are stored for review and reporting.
• A pilot-request flow whose submissions are stored and reviewed by WhiskerMatch.
• Provisioned accounts and authenticated shelter or rescue workflows.
• Animal records, notes, tasks, statuses, applicants, foster workflows, reviews, uploads, and related audit information.
• Manual copy-link invitation and password-reset workflows; automated email is optional.

Accounts are provisioned for approved organizations and users. You are responsible for keeping credentials and copied invitation or password-reset links secure, using the service only through authorized accounts, and promptly reporting suspected compromise. Access may be limited or revoked to protect the service, an organization, or other users.

Organizations control the operational records their authorized users enter and the people they invite. WhiskerMatch uses organization-scoped access and role permissions, but each organization remains responsible for deciding what information to collect, who should have access, what may be published, and how long records should be retained.

You may not:

• Access another organization's data or account without authorization.
• Share credentials, invitation links, reset links, or signed file links with unauthorized people.
• Submit information you do not have authority to collect, use, or disclose.
• Use the service to harass, deceive, impersonate, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate.
• Probe, scrape, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or rate limits without written authorization.
• Upload malware, unlawful material, or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Represent WhiskerMatch output as professional veterinary, legal, medical, or emergency advice.

WhiskerMatch may assist with drafting, organization, summaries, workflow state, and missing-context signals. Shelters and rescues remain responsible for reviewing records, correcting errors, publishing information, communicating with applicants, and making all operational, care, foster, adoption, and placement decisions. WhiskerMatch does not guarantee adoption or placement outcomes and does not make final decisions for an organization.

Do not use WhiskerMatch as an emergency channel. The service does not provide veterinary care, medical diagnosis, legal advice, behavioral diagnosis, crisis response, law-enforcement response, or emergency animal services. Contact qualified local professionals or emergency authorities when needed.

You retain responsibility for content you submit or upload. You grant WhiskerMatch the limited rights needed to host, process, display, back up, and transmit that content solely to operate and support the service. Do not upload content unless your organization has the necessary rights and authority.

Our Privacy and Security pages describe current data handling and safeguards. No online service is perfectly secure. You must use reasonable security practices and report suspected incidents promptly.

WhiskerMatch is an early-stage service. We may add, change, pause, or remove features, and we may perform maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a specific roadmap, permanent pricing, or acceptance into a pilot.

We may suspend or terminate access for security risk, misuse, nonpayment where applicable, breach of these terms, or an organization's request. Data export, retention, and deletion at the end of a pilot or account are handled under the applicable agreement and current retention policy.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that information is complete, error-free, or suitable for a particular animal, applicant, foster, adopter, organization, or outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WhiskerMatch and Veldarium Technology Systems LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Any direct liability is limited as provided by applicable law and any signed agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
